1. Primary Education – The Foundation Factor For An Individual and A Country
The education system is the cornerstone of the country’s growth and prosperity. To improve higher education, we must stress on the importance of elementary education. With the right foundation, you can have a strong and sturdy building.
Primary school not only includes pure knowledge of subjects like English, Science, Mathematics, and Social Sciences. But also knowledge about basic amenities, clothing, nutrition, self-love, manners, nature, and much more.
The good news is the fact that countries like India promote elementary education by making education free up to grade five. According to the government, students who enroll in this plan are also entitled to a free meal.
Elementary education makes the students ready for their higher education. But ideally, it should also make them willing to take further live challenges.
Elementary knowledge enables the child to learn, read, and write. Simple rules of arithmetic are taught. It helps the child in fundamental growth and overall development. It is believed that when the child is young, they can learn quickly; that is why it is essential for their fundamental knowledge.
They can build their education once they are equipped with elementary knowledge. It’s straightforward logic- for example
- If you do not know what addition and subtraction are, you would not understand the concept of multiplication and division. Further, how would you be able to take out the area or solve equations?
- Without the knowledge of the anatomy of your body, how would you recognize the functions of internal and external organs?
- If you are not able to read and write a simple text, how you would understand tenses and comprehend anything you read.
But in addition to all this, elementary education must also build the ability for the child to think out of the box, ask questions, and to reason why?
2. Primary Education Can Uplift People Out Of Poverty
Elementary knowledge or Primary education does not limit to the classroom, books, students, and a teacher, and it goes beyond. It includes nutrition clothing and creating such an environment where a child can learn new things; brings out the best attributes in the child.
If the child is educated, it will automatically help in creating employment opportunities and eventually help grow and eradicate poverty.
Even if higher education has not opted and the child limits itself to basic knowledge, it will still be enough for them to develop their surroundings and thus opening better opportunities.
The primary aim of elementary knowledge is to develop citizens who have basic values and social skills. Elementary education is responsible for the thirst for further education and overall developed and accountable citizens.
Sadly, in some countries, privatization is growing so fast that only kids whose parents are financially equipped can spend on education. And thus, their children can grow into well-rounded citizens. On the other hand, the weak financial sector relies on their helping hands that can work and earn rather than learn.
In conclusion, one must learn to walk first in order to run. Most of you would agree that elementary knowledge inevitably forms the base for higher education. With a week foundation, you cannot build a strong nation and great citizens. Invest in the basic knowledge and reap the benefits for generations to come.
